JAMMU, Oct 17: SSP Cyber Crime, Sandeep Choudhary today inaugurated a Basketball tournament at Sports Field Shastri Nagar, here being organised by J&K Sports Council under its initiative ‘My Youth My Pride’.
Six teams each in different age groups are participating in the tournament.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Sandeep Choudhary appreciated the role of J&K Sports Council for promotion of sports in Jammu and Kashmir. While interacting with the players, he outlined the various do’s and don’ts for success in life and called upon the players to remain focused and committed in pursuing their goals.
Earlier, Ranjeet Kalra Member J&K Sports Council outlined the different sports programs being organised by the Council throughout the Union Territory as part of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s ‘My Youth My Pride’ initiative under the overall supervision of Secretary Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul.
Rajeev Sharma and Nitan Sharma- Members of J&K Sports Council, Ashok Singh, DSO, Satish Gupta Manager Indoor Sports Complex MA Stadium, Dr Mandeep Singh Asst. Prof Physical Education Jammu University, Anil Sharma, Sushama Jamwal, Vinay Sharma, Shotu Lal Sharma, Davum Gupta, players and parents were present during the event.
