Ramban, Sept 29: Under the Compaign ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma in presence of Addl SP Ramban Gaurav Mahajan and SHO Chanderkote Inspector Padam Dev Singh visited Karma Panchayat of Chanderkote which was declared as Drug Free Panchayat of District Ramban.
SSP Ramban was welcomed by Sarpanch, Panch and other respectable citizens of the Panchayat. The programme started with the inauguration of ‘Drug Free Panchayat’ at Karma followed by pledge ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Ramban briefed the public regarding various parameters which were verified before declaring the Panchayat Karma of Chanderkote as ‘Drug Free’.
During her speech, Mohita congratulated the people for their efforts which resulted in achieving the milestone of getting declared as ‘Drug Free Panchayat’. The inauguration ceremony was followed with people submitting their grievances before SSP Ramban who assured timely redressal.
The general public and PRI members expressed their gratitude towards District Police Ramban,especially SSP Ramban for organising the event and urged that such events be organised more often.
