KATRA, July 28: In order to strengthen the security grid and better surveillance of Railway track, three concrete structures located near the Railway track, falling in the jurisdiction of PIS GRP Udhampur-Katra and PP GRP Chakrakhwal, have been renovated and provided to the GRP personnel.
Today SSP Railways Katra Ranjit Singh Sambyal inaugurated these renovated structures in the beat numbers 15, 19 & 20 of GRP Katra. SDPO Railways Katra, SDPO Railways Udhampur, SHO PIS GRP Katra, I/C PP GRP Chakrakbwal and other officers of GRP Katra were present on the occasion.
SSP Railways Katra said that due to the unavailability of concrete duty huts at the track, the manpower of GRP was compelled to reside in the tents and faced a lot of hardships during the rainy as well as winter seasons but now these renovated structures shall provide some relief and comfort in order to perform their duties in a smooth manner.
The SSP added that some more concrete structures near the Railway track are being identified, which shall be renovated and made available to the GRP personnel.
