POONCH, July 23: SSP Poonch Shamsheer Hussain today convened meetings of prominent citizens from all communities and concerned tehsil level officials at Surankote and Mandi town today, seeking their support for the smooth conduct Shri Budha Amarnath yatra.
Mr Hussain along with other police and civil officers during meetings at both the places, sought public cooperation and appealed them to maintain communal harmony and welcome the pilgrims arriving here from various parts of the country for Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra commencing on August 1. He also asked the people to ensure full cooperation to the Administration in making yatra successful. The public especially from majority community assured all possible cooperation for the smooth conduct of annual yatra. The traders at Surankote and Mandi were requested to help in ensuring smooth flow of traffic and not to spread their goods on the roads and foot paths.
