Spot demand lifts cardamom futures by 0.55%

NEW DELHI, Aug 9:  Cardamom prices were up by 55 per cent to Rs 956 per kg in futures market today as traders built up fresh positions after pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in September month edged up by Rs 5.20 or 0.55 per cent to Rs 956 per kg in business turnover of 36 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in cardamom futures to fresh positions created by participants due to uptick in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions. (PTI)
