JAMMU, May 15: The Annual Sports Meet held at Sai Shyam College of Education Ghou-Manhasan, Jammu concluded with prize distribution function, here today.
The chairman of the College, C L Tickoo gave away cash prizes and trophies to the winners and runners-up teams.
In the 2-day Meet, the students of the College participated in cricket, badminton, volleyball, kho-kho, 100 meters race and long jump etc.
In the boys category, Lotus team won the final cricket match under the captaincy of Amarjeet, while as Chinar team emerged runners-up under the captaincy of Shailbadra.
In volleyball, the Himachal Kings under the captaincy of Subash prevailed over Odisha Champions under the captaincy of Kshira Sindhu Sahu.
In badminton boys doubles category, the winners were Nirmal Kumar and Arun Kumar, while in girls category, Renuka Sharma and Sapna Mai were the winners.
In kho-kho, team B headed by Rittee Kumari got better of team A headed by Meenu Rhyan.
In 100 meters race, Manoj, Meenu Rhyan and Renuka got 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in girls category respectively, while in boys category, Bal Gopal, Subash Dutt and Kshira Sindhu Sahu won 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.
In long jump, Subash Dutt, Pramod and Padamakar Tiwari were adjudged 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Subash Dutt, Sports Secretary of the College lauded the efforts of the winners and expressed his satisfaction over the co-operation extended by the staff and the students of the College for organizing the Meet.
