JAMMU, Feb 6: Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ) Jammu is launching special drive against drug trafficking in Kathua, Samba and Jammu districts from tomorrow.
This was stated by DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Ranger Shakeel Ahmed Beig, while interacting with media persons.
He said that in order to eradicate menace of drug trafficking from the society, Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ) Jammu is launching special drive against drug trafficking in Kathua, Samba and Jammu districts under Civic Action Programme on the directions of DGP and IGP Jammu Zone.
“During the drive, anti-drug rallies, awareness camps, seminars and painting competition shall be held in urban as well as rural areas”, he said, adding that all the territorial officers of Jammu Range shall be separately briefed to deal with the drug suppliers/drug mafia with iron hands and the kingpin in the trade should be booked under Public Safety Act, besides taking strict action and dismantling the local network of the drug peddlers.
