SRINAGAR, May 29: Speaker Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul today visited various areas in Eidgah constituency including Noorbagh and  Guzarbal and took stock of various ongoing developmental works in these areas.
District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Shah besides senior officers of PHE, Irrigation, Health, Education, SMC, CA&PD, LAWDA  and Floriculture Departments accompanied the Speaker during his visit.
During his visit, several deputations met the Speaker and apprised him about their individual and collective problems. These included construction of lanes and drains, installation of electric polls and improvement in drinking water facility.
The Speaker gave them patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands would be looked into. He directed upgradation of Noorbagh-Palpora road on the spot. Mr. Gul directed the concerned to prepare estimates for construction of link road in Shaheen Mohalla and submit the same to the concerned for release of funds.
Earlier, the Speaker convened a meeting with the officers of various departments to review the overall progress of all ongoing development works in Eidgah constituency.
The Speaker directed the JKPCC authorities to speed up the pace of work on all under execution works taken for the development of Eidgah project. He said Rs. 1 crore has already been released for the purpose. He also asked them for judicious use of funds.
