JAMMU, Dec 12: In connection with the celebrations of Eid-Milad-ul-Nabi (SAW), Anjuman Islah-ul-Muslimeen Jammu in collaboration with Hajj and Auqaf Department organized a day long Seerat Conference here today.
Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta and Minister of State for Hajj and Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi were amongst the prominent participants in the conference.
Several prominent Islamic Scholars from different parts of the country participated and extensively deliberated on the teachings of Islam and Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The speakers highlighted the teachings and message of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) laying stress on promoting human values and love, mutual brotherhood, tolerance, peace and helping the needy and destitute. They emphasized on the universal acceptance and relevance of the teachings and message of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Kavinder Gupta called for promoting bonds of mutual brotherhood and true values of humanity. He said such occasions provide an opportunity to the people to come closer and work for the development of the mankind and eradicating social evils from the society.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Farooq Andrabi impressed upon the people to be united and follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). “Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) each and every word shows us right path and gives the lesson of kindness, love, brotherhood and peace,” the Minister said. He urged the audience to spread the message of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to ensure peace and prosperity in the universe.
Vice-President, All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Dr Sayed Kalabe-e-Sadiq in his thought-provoking address said that the true Muslim is not the one who offers prayers five times a day, but who practically adopts the real teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in his life and educates others for doing so.
Mufti and Khateeb Usmania Jamia Masjid Varanasi, Moulana Haroon Rashid Naqashbandi also threw light on various aspects of Islam and elaborated how Prophet Muhammad (SAW) had laid stress on kindness towards all the creations of Allah and love for fellow beings.
Besides others, Mohtamim Jamia Zia-ul-Uloom Poonch, Syed Ahmad Hameed Nabi, Sadar Islah-ul-Muslimeen Jammu Abdul Majeed, General Secretary J&K PCC Vikram Malhotra and other prominent personalities were present on the occasion.
