SP kick starts election campaign for Bhaderwah seat

BHADERWAH, Nov 15: Samajwadi Party (SP) State president and former MP Sheikh Abdul Rehman today kick started its election campaign for the Bhaderwah seat by organizing series of workers meeting in different areas of the Bhaderwah constituency in which he sought vote for the party candidate Sheikh Mohammad Shafi.
At Gathi Morch here, the workers’ meeting later turned into a public rally due to the over-whelming response of the people. “It was due to the over-whelming response of common masses towards SP that the workers convention turned into a big public meeting which was addressed by all senior leaders”, party leaders claimed.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Abdul Rehman said that his party is contesting election to effectively and vociferously take up people’s issue in the house.
He added that SP is the genuine and credible voice of the people of lower classes, adding that the policies and programmes of SP were formulated by accommodating wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society.
Rehman further disclosed that it is the result of the convictions and commitment of leadership of SP that people of Jammu and Kashmir have connected themselves with this party.
“There is a feeling among people that SP is their genuine voice”, he said and assured that people that SP would come up to the expectations of the common masses and seek vote for the contesting candidate Sheikh Mohammad Shafi.
Rehman said that during the last fifteen years the present dispensation has done nothing to solve day today problems of the people.
“The State Government has become a non performing liability due to its misdeeds and mis-governance”, he said and hoped that people of the State would give a befitting reply to this Government in the elections.
He also criticized Congress, PDP and BJP and alleged that these parties are befooling the people of Bhaderwah by making hollow slogans and said Congress is no where in nation and people of Bhaderwah should support SP for equal development of all sections of the society. On the occasion many BJP workers joined SP.
