JAMMU, Sept 14: SP Katra Naresh Singh along with SDPO Ashok Sharma today reviewed security and other arrangements on the occasion of upcoming Navratra festival in holy town of Katra, the base camp of the shrine.
He also reviewed the functions to be organized by various organization in connection with Navratra festival and measures required to tackle rush of pilgrims to holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji.
Naresh Singh called upon the people to be vigil in view of present security scenario and guards against movement of anti-social and anti-national elements.
He called upon the hoteliers and Guest House owners to maintain guest registers properly and scrutinize Identity Cards of visitors without giving them entry.
Singh assured the people that police would intensify nakas and patrolling in the town and track as part of strict surveillance.
Prominent among those present in the meeting were Rakesh Wazir, Varinder Kesar, Ashu Magotra, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, Sardari Lal Dubey, Jagdish Verma, Sohan Singh, Pradeep Sharma, Sudershan Sharma, Varinder Sharma, Roshan Lal, Vivek Sharma, Arun Sharma and Suresh Kumar.
