SRINAGAR, June 9: Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association is organizing South Asian Chess Championship (SACC) in September at Srinagar.
A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Chess Association led by its President Atul Gupta, Senior Vice-President AR Wani, Vice President Baldev Raj and other senior office-bearers called on Deputy Chief Minister.
While interacting with the Deputy Chief Minister, Gupta informed him about the measures taken by the Association for the promotion of Chess in the State.
He also said that South Asian Chess Championship (SACC) would be held in Srinagar from 1st week of September in which players from SAARC countries would participate.
Deputy Chief Minister while speaking said that the holding of SACC in the Valley is a welcome step and Government would provide all the requisite logistic and other allied support to them.
