After filing the nomination paper for Rajya Sabha from the Rajasthan Congress, Chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party, and MP from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, Sonia Gandhi has issued an emotional letter to the people of her parliamentary constituency.
In her letter, Sonia said that she has relatives from many generations; people in Rae Bareli have treated her as family. Citing health factors, she has stated that due to her age and poor health, she will not get the opportunity to directly serve the public, but it is certain that her heart and soul remain with the people of Rae Bareli.
Promising to meet the people of Rae Bareli soon, she said in her emotional letter that in the elections held after independence, the people here not only accepted her father-in-law Firoz Gandhi and mother-in-law Indira Gandhi but also for them.
Through her letter, the Congress chairperson described Rae Bareli as having a fortunate relationship with his in-laws and said that his family would not be complete without the people of Rae Bareli. (UNI)
