Somesh heads Indian Newspaper Society

NEW DELHI,  Oct 1:  Somesh Sharma from Rashtradoot Saptahik has been elected as president of the Indian Newspaper Society for the year 2016-17 at its 77th Annual General Meeting held at Bengaluru  today.
He succeeded P V Chandra  of Grihalakshmi (Mathurubh-umi Group). Akila Urankar from Business Standard has been elected as deputy president, K Balaji from The Hindu Weekly  vice president, V Shankran as secretary general  while Sharad Sexena from  The Hindustan Times is the honorary  treasurer  of the Society.
Forty one Executive Committee members of  the INS were also elected unanimously during today’s  AGM.  They are mostly from the Southern part of the country.
