Social distancing best to check spread of Coronavirus: Sadhotra

‘Provide free ration to poor families’

JAMMU, Mar 25: Expressing serious concern over the menace of unprecedented pandemic Coronavirus, former minister and senior NC leader Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today said that strict social distancing is the best precaution to check spread of pandemic Coronavirus.
He appealed to the people for keeping strict social distancing and confine inside their homes so that they may not get infected or become carrier of Coronavirus. He also asked the people to strictly adhere to the advisories of the Health Department and civil administration. He emphasized the need of giving full co-operation to the administration in fighting this dreadful disease. Administration is doing a lot but still more needs to be done by the administration.
Sadhotra demanded that every Primary Health Centre shall be made quarantine centre so that the rural population suspected or infected could not carry this virus while reaching far off quarantine centres. And all the Primary Health Centres be provided masks, disinfectants and at least one ventilator so that rural people could be provided health care at the earliest and nearest point in order to prevent spreading of this epidemic.
Senior NC leader has appreciated the untired efforts of the doctors, para medical staff and civil administration to fight this unprecedented Pandemic COVID-19. He has also appreciated the efforts of electronic and print media for awareness and keeping the public updated.
He has appealed to the Government to release a financial package for the poor and needy especially daily earners working in different spheres to earn their livings. He also demanded two months free ration to the common people so that common people may not starve.
And efforts should be made to ensure home delivery of ration, grocery, vegetables, medicines and dairy products in view to check spread of dreadful pandemic.
