SMVDU conferred Education Award

KATRA, May 7: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) has been conferred ECONS Education Award 2014 in the category of “Value Education”.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof Sudhir K Jain who was invited as the guest of honour in the Education Summit and Education Excellence Awards 2014 Ceremony held at New Delhi on April 26, 2014, received the award on behalf of SMVDU.
Econs is a premier educational organization in the country which is working to enhance the quality of education and to provide assistance in every aspect to educational institutions across the country.
In the present Education Summit, about 180 institutions from different parts of the country were nominated out of which only 40 fulfilled the parameters set for evaluating the quality teaching imparted and research carried out. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University was selected for Value Education programmes offered for Econs Education award 2014.
Prominent academicians from across the country were present in the Education Summit who deliberated on making India a leading force in education sector.
Prof Sudhir K Jain was invited to share his views with the participants on the theme ‘Achieving Excellence in Education Sector’.  Dr R K Khandal, Vice Chancellor of UPTU, Lucknow shared his views on ‘Making India as a Hub of Technical Education in the World’.
Other eminent speakers in the Summit were Dr V K Goswami, Former Vice Chancellor, Sangam University Allahabad and Dr P L Kadal Baju from Delhi University.
