VIJAYPUR, Nov 7: MLA Vijaypur and senior vice-president of National Conference, Surjeet Singh Slathia today intensifies poll campaign by organizing public meetings at Swankha Morh, Najwal, Butchri, Birpur, Dholpur and Takaar in Vijaypur constituency.
During the meetings, Slathia said that National Conference under the leadership of Omar Abdullah will emerge as largest party in Assembly election and people should make best use of their right to vote by electing the right person.
Slathia asked the people to vote for National Conference in the forthcoming Assembly Election so that the developmental works in the State particularly in Vijaypur constituency were taken to new heights during his tenure. He said that the road connectivity, better quality education, power and water supply, installation of tubewells, up-gradation of electric transformers, up-gradation of schools in every area falling in Vijaypur constituency are among the works initiated by him and if NC is voted to power again, a new phase of development will be started in Vijaypur.
Slathia further said that efforts will be made to arrange special recruitment drive for the youth of Vijaypur so that the un-employed youth are benefitted. The co-operation of the people is required for strengthening National Conference at gross root level for achieving the goal of objective of peace and development of all the three regions of J&K State, he said adding that a beginning in this regard has been made by registering record achievements during the past six years.
Listing several other achievements, he said that the NC has taken exemplary initiatives in J&K like conducting of free and fair Panchayat elections, empowering Panchayats by enacting amendments in the Panchayat Raj Act and implementation of various Centrally sponsored schemes successfully. He asked the people to strengthen the hands of Omar Abdullah for future development of J&K State.
Among others, Bhagwan Singh, Raman Gupta, Capt Tirath Ram, Vijay Singh, Suresh Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Karam Chand, Sodagar Gupta, Sadiq Malik, Subash Singh, Karam Chand, Manohar Gupta, Raju, Raghuvir Singh, Panchs and Sarpanchs were also present on the occasion.
