JAMMU, Jan 9: To safeguard the professional interests of all the employees, SKUAST- Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) and SKUAST-Non Teaching Employees Association Jammu (SKUAST-NTEA-J) have formed a Joint Action Committee (JAC) which will address the common issues pertaining to the teaching and non teaching fraternity of SKUAST-Jammu. An emergency meeting was held between the office bearers of teaching and non-teaching association at Main Campus Chatha, Jammu in which both the associations agreed on the formulation of a Joint Committee for the betterment of SKUAST-Jammu employees. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that Dr Vikas Sharma, president of SKUAST-TAJ, B N Singh, president of SKUAST-NTEA-J, general secretaries of both the associations (Dr Vivek M Arya and Zamir-ul-Haq) will be the members of the joint committee whereas two more member (non office bearers) each from the teaching and non teaching community will be included. This six member committee will be the highest decision making body on all the common issues of the varsity and will work with full dedication and zeal to improve the standards of teaching, research, clerical and other miscellaneous activities of the University and to make university a centre of excellence. The joint meeting was attended by Dr Devinder Sharma, Dr Rajeev Bharat, Dr SP Singh, Dr P K Rai, Dr Purshotam Sharma, KD Singh, Rattan Lal, Gursanjevan, Bimal Singh Jamwal, Vijay Singh, Devraj, Kulwant Singh Sambyal and Manzoor Ahmad Khan.
