SKUAST-J teachers for preference to local talent

JAMMU, Feb 26: The Executive Committee meeting of SKUAST – Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) was held today under the chairmanship of its president Dr Vikas Sharma at Main Campus Chatha.
Several agendas pertaining to the overall welfare, better functioning and progress of the university were deliberated in the meeting. The meet stressed that local talent of the university should be given due preference for higher positions as they know better about the climate and agricultural scenario of the province. The house expressed unanimously that preparation of the seniority list among all cadres of the teaching employees besides speedy redressal of the problems being faced by the employees under CAS should be given preference.
Dr Vikas Sharma informed the executive members that the association is trying its level best to solve each and every problem related to teachers. He further assured that the issues will be taken up with University authority for early redressal.
Besides the SKUAST-TAJ office bearers, who included Dr Vivek M Arya, Dr P K Rai, Dr Rajeev Sangra, Dr Devinder Sharma, Dr Lalit Upadhyay, the meeting was attended by Prof RK Gupta, Prof Pramod Baru, Prof VK Koul, Prof VK Vali, Prof VK Razdan, Prof SK Kher, Prof Rakesh Nanda, Prof SA Mallick, Prof SK Gupta, Prof DP Abrol, Prof BC Sharma, Prof Anil Sharma, Prof Rizvi, Prof MP Sharma, Prof Hafeez and others.
