“There is urgent need to give due and proper attention towards the farmers issues as their rice fields were completely flattened by strong winds making it impossible for any recovery. Most farmers in the region are shocked as Strong winds caused sterility at flowering by desiccating the plant”, he said.
He said that farmers have already faced lot of issues like non-functional irrigation tube-wells, irregular power supply, heavy shelling at the time of sowing, heavy rainfall and the strong winds. “If the concerned authorities didn’t act timely the situation will definitely affect our source of livelihood”, former SSP said.
