JAMMU, June 18: Singh Cricket Club, Akhnoor registered 6 wickets win over Media-XI in a friendly match played at Government Higher Secondary School ground, Akhnoor.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Media-XI scored 128 runs by losing 6 wickets in 16 overs. Ankush played a splendid inning of 55 runs, while Amit scored 22 runs and Sunil Bali chipped in 18 runs.
From Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor side, Sham Singh Langeh scalped 2 wickets, while Sunil, Aryan, Rajinder and Stifen shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor chased the target in 12.2 overs by losing 4 wickets. Manik Sharma scored 36 runs and remained not out, Rahul Mani scored unbeaten 26 runs and Dilawar Singh contributed with 28 runs.
From Media-XI side, Roshan and Bittu shared 2 wickets each.
Manik Sharma was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor under the supervision of Sham Singh Langeh, President of the Club.
