REASI, Jan 11: As part of social support initiative, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board organized a week-long Art Camp for children which commenced at Spiritual Growth Centre, Katra today.
Twenty-five children from Katra and its surrounding areas are participating in the Art Camp in which they will be imparted the techniques of painting in oil and water colours as well as making crafts, sculptures and models.
Dr Piyush Singla, Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board, inaugurated the Art Camp. Interacting with the participants of the Art Camp on the occasion, he said that focussing on academics along with extra-curricular activities like painting competitions, debates, etc contributes in a big way in all round personality development of the children.
Rajinder Singh, Officer on Special Duty, Revenue, SMVDSB, other officers and staff of the Shrine Board were present on the occasion.
