JAMMU, Aug 3: Most of the petrol pumps of Bharat Petroleum have run dry in Jammu city after the stoppage of petrol supply from the main source of the company.
With petrol pumps of the Company turning dry in Jammu, there is huge rush of vehicles on the pumps which are being supplied the petrol by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), HPCL and other companies and vehicles have to stand in queues for their turn.
At various places protests were also held by drivers especially running the commercial vehicles due to shortage of petrol on pumps run by Bharat Petroleum. They have urged the company authorities to look into the issue and resume the petrol supply to the State immediately as suspension in the supply of petrol has led to a lot of problem to them.
However when contacted Teritory Manager, Mr Tonesh Chaturvedi admitted that there was some problem and the supply was not even reaching to Punjab. He said the company is on the job. The problem will be sorted out soon and situation will be normalized within one or two days, he added.
