Srinagar, Apr 27: A shopkeeper who had sustained critical injuries after being shot at suspected militants in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on April 17 succumbed to his injuries in a Srinagar hospital today morning here.
Police said the suspected militants had opened fire on Khurshid Ahmad Lone son of Abdul Rahim Lone at Heff Shirmal village in the district of Shopian, leaving him critically injured.
“Khurshid was immediately shifted to nearby hospital where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura in critical condition,” he said, adding that today morning the shopkeeper succumbed to injuries. So far, no militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack.
