JAMMU, Feb 26: Shivika Thakur, a student of the Department of Zoology, University of Jammu secured third position in ‘Elocution’ contest organized by Ranchi University in prestigious National Youth Festival of Cultural and Literary activities under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities.
It is to also mention here that Shivika also stood first in recently organized North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival organized by Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Ambala.
Prof RD Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu felicitated the Shivika Thakur.
Dean Students Welfare, University of Jammu Prof Satnam Kour complemented her for this achievement thus holding the literary banner of the University of Jammu high at national level.
Around 15 prize winning participants from all five zones of India competed in Elocution contest where the participant from University of Jammu clinched the third position. Dr Savita Nayyar was the Teacher Incharge.
