JAMMU, Mar 16: Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde Group) is fully prepared for the upcoming parliamentary elections and it will fight on all 5 seats of Jammu and Kashmir.
This was stated today by Ashwani Gupta (State president, Shiv Sena) while addressing a press conference along with State general secretary Rakesh Kak, State secretary (organization) Sanjay Bhat and State youth president Ajay Dhar.
While answering the question regarding Lok Sabha elections, Ashwani Gupta said Shiv Sena is fully prepared for the elections and have finalized the names of candidates for all 5 parliamentary seats. He said the list of the candidates has been sent to party head office for the approval and after the decision of Central team, names will be made public.
Speaking on the issue of CAA, Gupta said the decision of implementation of CAA by Modi led Union Government is historic as this will give the oppressed minority communities of the neighbouring countries a safe heaven to live a peaceful life as for decades people of these minority communities were tolerating atrocities in these countries and were deprived of basic facilities.
“Implementation of CAA will help these people to live their life with dignity,” Gupta said and lambasted the opposition parties which are misleading a particular community in the name of CAA. He said CAA is an act which will not snatch but will give citizenship. He appealed everyone not to get in trap of opposition parties on CAA as no one will lose anything.
Gupta also appealed Modi Government and J&K administration to frame a policy which can be helpful for the refugees to get custodian property on their names. He said that it was responsibility of Government to include the property of Kashmiri Hindus in Custodian Department when they were forced to leave their homes in 1990s.
