Shiv Sena criticizes Govt over unemployment, stages protest

JAMMU, Jan 27: Accusing the Government for making hollow claims of providing employment to permanent residents of J&K, J&K Shiv Sena has today appealed the Lieutenant Governor to intervene into the matter regarding providing relief to aspirants of border battalion which have been victimized due to new notification of the recruitment.
The Party raised the issue during a protest which was organized under the leadership of president Manish Sahni in favour of unemployed in general and border battalion aspirants in particular, here today.
“To end the ongoing injustice with the aspirants of the border battalion, cancel the new notification and early conduct the written exam under earlier notification,” he asserted and added that it was way back in 2018 that the process of border battalion force was carried out after the assurance of the Union Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh and PMO, Dr Jatindra Singh.
“Application were sought from the youth of the border area for the recruitment wherein a separate battalion were to be formed for women and men. After the physical examination, the written test has been delayed for the last two years and now, the new notification issued on January 22, 2022 in which some aspirants have been rendered ineligible,” Sahni questioned.
He demanded that the written test will be conducted under the earlier notification which will be a big relief for the aspirants.
Meanwhile, Mission Statehood led by Sunil Dimple also staged the protest in favour of the border battalion aspirants and appealed to the Government to cancel the new notification and conduct the exam under the earlier notification.
