JAMMU, June 19: Like other parts of country, Jammu and Kashmir unit of Shiv Sena Bal Thackeray today celebrated 49th Sthapna Diwas (foundation day) of party, today.
The main function was held at Shiv Sena Bhawan, Indira Chowk under the leadership of its State president Dimpy Kohli, Rakesh Gupta, GI Singh and Vikrant Kapoor wherein scores of Shiv Sainiks hailing from various districts of the State participated and paid rich tributes to Bala Saheb Thackeray, the founder of Shiv Sena.
Speaking on the occasion, Dimpy Kolhi castigated BJP-PDP Government which allegedly failed to address the genuine issue of people.”There is no Government on ground in the State as people of Jammu are crying for basic amenities in this scorching heat while the elected representatives enjoying excursion in Valley,” he said.
He also asked the party worker to help the masses and also remain vigilant to expose the misdeed of present Government. Later, the Shiv Sena leader distributed fruits and sweets among needy people. A hawan was also preformed for the peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
Prominent among those who participated included Vinay Gupta, Rohit Singh Bhau and Vishal.
