Shangri-La Pyramid Meditation Temple to be inaugurated tomorrow

Leh, June 19: Inauguration of Shangri-La Pyramid Meditation Temple, National Conference on Mahakaruna, ‘Non-Violence, and Vegetarianism and Science of Pyramid Mediation will be held on 21st of June, 2019 on the occasion of International Yoga Day celebration, said Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena today.
Addressing a press conference here he said, Founder Worldwide Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement, India Brahmarshi Pitamaha Patriji will be the chief guest.
The grand reception of Thai Pad Yatra delegation and inauguration of the 3-day International Conference on World Peace, 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi, and Preservation of Cultural Heritage of the Himalayas will be organised from 26th to 28th of June, 2019, added Ven. Bhikshu Sanghasena.
Talking in detail about the International Yoga Day, Bikkhu Sanghasena said that MIMC in collaboration with Pyramid Societies Social Movement (PSSM) is inaugurating the first-ever Pyramid Meditation Hall in the region of the himalayas in the Devachan campus of MIMC.
Participants from different religious, social, and political organisations from various parts of Leh, country and the world will be participating in the programme and the yoga session will begin from 06.00 AM – 08.00 AM.
About 200 guests from different parts of India and the world are expected to participate, he added.
Elaborating about the 3-day International Conference, Sanghasena said that for the last 3 years MIMC has been helping in organising a Pad Yatra from Dharamsala to Leh for large numbers of monks, nuns, and lay people from Thailand for spreading the message of world peace. Similarly, the 4th Pad Yatra that commenced on 25th May will be given a grand reception on the 26th of this month followed by inauguration of 3-day International Conference.
This is being done in collaboration with Save the Himalayas Foundation, J&K Academy of Arts, Culture and Languages Leh, Nava Nalanda Mahvihara, and Central Institute of Buddhist studies, Choglamsar, he stated.
Governor of Madhya Pradesh Anandiben Patel and Governor of J&K Satya Pal Malik will be chief guests. Ambassador of Thailand to India Chutintorn Gongsakdi, and High Commissioner of Sri-Lanka to India Austin Fernando will be guests of honour and Member Parliament Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal will preside as special guest on the occasion.
