JAMMU, Dec 14: In order create awareness among the people about the relief package for PoK refugees and redress their genuine demands, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Choudhary today convened a public grievance redressal camp at village Satriyan in Suchetgarh.
The villagers informed the Minister about their doubts related to disbursement of relief to the refugees from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). The Minister said that the process of relief distribution would be simplified so that people don’t face any difficulty in getting the benefit of relief package.
The locals also apprised the Minister about the problems being faced by them related to road connectivity, power supply, water supply, telecom, education and healthcare.
The Minister gave patient hearing to their demands and assured them that all their genuine issues will be redressed on priority basis.
While addressing the gathering, the Minister said that the State Government is working under a well-knit strategy to improve the public utilities in the State and special stress is being laid on improving facilities in rural and border areas.
He appealed the people to come forward and take optimum benefit of various state and centrally sponsored schemes being implemented by the State Government for the welfare of common masses.
