JAMMU, Mar 7: Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today directed the revenue authorities to take appropriate measures to facilitate the displaced families from PoK enabling them to avail hassle-free benefits of special financial package of the Central Government.
The Minister issued these instructions while addressing the meeting of revenue officers at Suchetgarh. He directed the Patwaris to sit in their respective Patwar Halqas and display the requisite formalities. The contact numbers of Patwaris should also be displayed outside their offices for the convenience of the concerned people, he added.
Later, a delegation of PoK displaced persons hailing from village Sai and other adjoining areas apprised the Minister about the problems being faced by them with regard to completion of formalities viz-a-viz preparation of requisite revenue documents for getting first installment of relief package.
The Minister informed them that the Government has taken various measures to simplify the relief distribution process and make it a hassle-free affair.
