Shakti Parihar lays foundation stone of over Rs 20 crore link road in Assar

DODA, Sept 1: MLA Doda West, Shakti Raj Parihar today laid the foundation stone of the Link Road from KM 17th RD 700 NH-244 to Ansi via Saldi in Assar block of Doda district.

The project, sanctioned under PMGSY 4th Phase, has a total span of 6.7 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 20.70 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Doda, West Shakti Raj Parihar said that this road was a long-pending demand of the people of Assar and Ansi areas. He said the new connectivity will provide all-weather road access, benefit thousands of people, and give a boost to agriculture, education and health services in the area.

Parihar expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for his commitment towards strengthening rural connectivity in remote areas of Jammu & Kashmir.

The MLA said that rapid development of Doda West is his priority and several other road projects under PMGSY and PWD are also being taken up on priority.

He was accompanied by senior officers of PMGSY Department, local administration, party Karyakartas and a large number of locals who accorded a warm welcome to the MLA.

Parihar also highlighted various developmental activities undertaken in remote district of Doda during Modi rule and said that BJP Government is committed to provide all basic amenities of life to people living in far-flung and backward areas.
