Shaikshik Mahasangh celebrates ‘Kartavya Bodh Divas’

UDHAMPUR, Jan 19: All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation under the banner of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, Udhampur unit, celebrated `Kartavya Bodh Divas Karyakaram’ (programme on day of duty realization), in which the teachers, eminent educationists and citizens participated .
Dr Virendra Koundal, Professor in Economics, Jammu University; Maheshwar Prasad, Dev Raj Thakur, President Shaikshik Mahasangh J&K and Rattan Sharma -State General Secretary, were the chief guest, key speaker and special guests, respectively on the occasion.
Shaikshik Mahasangh celebrates Kartavya Bodh Divas programme in January between the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subash Chander Bose across all over the country every year . The same programme was held by the Udhampur unit of the Federation today.
The programme commenced with offering flowers on the pictures of Saraswati Mata, Bharat Mata, Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.
Rattan Sharma -State General Secretary Shaikshik Mahasangh Jammu and Kashmir, during his address, said that the main purpose to celebrate `Kartavya Bodh Divas Karyakaram’ is not only to aware the teachers but also to aware the whole society about our duties and responsibilities towards the students, education, society and nation .
Dev Raj Thakur, State President of Shaikshik Mahasangh, said that the organisation is working tirelessly to address the grievances of the teaching fraternity and education. He said that the Shaikshik Mahasangh played a vital role in resolving the SSA Teachers issues .
Prof Virendra Koundal said that Shaikshik Mahasangh is the only organisation of teachers, which celebrates ‘Kartavya Bodh Divas’ programme to remind ourselves towards our duties and responsibilities towards our society and nation .
“We should uphold the thousands of years old Indian Guru values, culture and tradition, which developed ancient India as a model society . Since time immemorial, the Gurus/Teachers/Acharyas always kept the nation ahead by giving effective education based on Indian tradition, culture and values. Due to the hard work of our Gurus, India produced several great personalities. Keeping in mind the values and great work of Swami Vivekananda ji and Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, they are role model of young generation. They both made the world realize about the power, culture, tradition and values of India and showed them the path of brotherhood, ” he said.
Krishan Lal Gupta, Distt President Udhampur presented a formal vote of thanks on conclusion of the programme.
