BANIHAL, June 7: National Conference district unit, Ramban, today expressed anguish over shortage of food grains at the CAPD outlets across the district and lack of basic amenities to the people, especially in remote and far flung areas.
Undertaking extensive tour of several villages and interacting with various deputations, NC District president, Sajjad Shaheen, blamed the PDP-BJP Government for inflicting miseries to the people by denying them basic facilities. He said lack of will to govern has manifested in multitude of problems, as the administration has gone on silent mode ever-since the anti-poor Government took reins of governance.
Shaheen shared the concern of people residing in the houses constructed near forests for decades, who he alleged are being harassed by the Revenue and Forest Department officials on one or the other pretext.
The District president also visited Khari, Hala, Tarana and Trigam villages where people apprised him of problems confronted to them regarding erratic power and drinking water supply.
