JAMMU, Jan 13: Seven persons of two families were injured today in a road accident in Sidhra area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, an Alto car bearing registration number JK02BD-9909 collided head on with a Maruti car bearing registration number JK02BB-2268 this afternoon at Sidhra area of city outskirts.
In the mishap, seven persons including two children were injured. The injured were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, for treatment.
The injured from one family are Bashir Ahmed (52) son of Pur Din of Chowadi, his wife, Shahida Bibi (48), son, Nazir Hussain (34) and daughter-in-law, Shidha Bibi (28) while injured persons of other family are Shamim Bibi (30) wife of Mir Ali of Sidhra and her sons, Tahir (11) and Nadim Hussain (8).
A case in this connection has been registered at police station Nagrota and further investigations are underway. Police has also seized both the vehicles involved in the accident.
