Settle displaced KPs demands: AIMCCC

JAMMU, June 4: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) has demanded political empowerment for Kashmiri Pandits.
The AIMCCC president, Desh Rattan has sent a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard highlighting various issues confronting the displaced Pandits leading an exiled life outside Valley for last over 30 years.
The memorandum among other things demanded settlement of the community in a smart city or satellite township in Valley, release of balance ex-gratia for damaged and gutted houses and other business establishments of Pandits in Valley, removal of encroachments from migrants land and property in Valley, special job package for the KPs especially the preference be given to those who have no Government employee in their families, economic assistance be given to displaced Pandits and benefits under Central Government schemes by given to community including Ayushman Bharat.
The memorandum further demanded compensation to KP over aged youth, the farming community among the KPs be given the benefit of all those schemes which were given to farmers of Kashmir Valley besides issuance of Kissan Credit Cards (KCC) to displaced farmers and enhancement of cash relief.
