JAMMU, June 26: A deputation of the executive body of J&K School Education Officers Association (SEOA) called on Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Education, Tara Chand and projected their demands, here today.
The demands included regularization of all the In-charge Officers including Headmaster, Principals, ZEOs and equivalent posts; treating of officers rendering their services during vacations as non vocational at par with their counterparts; increase in promotional quota of Headmasters from 20 to 50 percent; Giving Headmasters a grade of 9300-34800, with grade pay-5400 at par with Plus-2 Lecturers; Change of nomenclature from Headmaster to Principal; and Acording of sanction to new posts of ZPEOs to fill the vacant posts.
The Deputy Chief Minister gave a patient hearing and assured the deputation of an early redressal of their demands.
Those who were part of the deputation included S Paramjeet Singh, S Kulwant Singh, Ram Pyari, Paramjeet Kumar, Sushila Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Himmat Rai, Darshan Kumar, Romesh Chander and Rafiq Khan.
