JAMMU, June 23: Senior Citizen Rejuvenation Centre (SCRC) Trikuta Nagar Jammu celebrated its foundation day at the centre.
Arun Gupta, President of the Chamber of Commerce Jammu, was chief guest on the occasion while BJP District President Jammu South, Rekha Mahajan was the guest of honor.
Baldev Raj Gupta, President of the Centre; Krishan Lal Gupta, Patron; Tara Chand Taggar, Secretary General; Vinod Gupta, Cashier, and all other senior members were present on the occasion.
SCRC members briefed the guests and the gathering about the activities being carried out by the centre. They said that at least 20-30 members daily assemble in the centre for recreation, social service and spiritual awakening by way of recitation of Gayatri mantra, chanting of ‘Om’ and reading of Bhagwat Gita. Yoga sessions are also taken up periodically.
Cultural items and songs were presented on the occasion by senior members. On the occasion, meritorious students of the area were honoured by presenting them trophies. It was followed by a speech by the chief guest and a vote of thanks by Taggar.
