JAMMU, Jan 7: Navin Kumar Choudhary, Commissioner Secretary, Finance, J&K Government today inaugurated the new premises of branch Channi Himmat of J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB), in presence of  RK Chhibber, Chairman, JKGB, Area managers of Jammu Region, officials of the Bank and customers.
While speaking on the occasion, Navin Choudhary applauded the role played by J&K Grameen Bank in providing various financial services to the people of J&K. He also interacted with the staff members and customers of the branch.
RK Chhibber also spoke on the occasion and informed that JKGB has 217 branches in J&K. He added that the interest rates on loans and advances in JKGB are lowest amongst other banks. The Bank is also providing online facilities to its customers like NEFT/RTGS/IMPS/DBT facilities/SMS Alerts, etc.
He further said, “Technology application has remained the thrust area of JKGB with the objective to offer state of the art world class banking facilities to its business partners. The Bank has continued to leverage information technology as a strategic tool for its business growth. All the branches are on latest technology and our Channi Himmat branch is fully equipped with all types of latest technology and products”.
Urging people to take full advantage of Bank’s products and services, Chairman sought their support and cooperation in realizing the Bank’s vision to take the entire population of J&K to new heights of equitable growth and prosperity.
