MENDHAR, May 29: The local administration initiated an inquiry after the villagers lodged a complaint that Govt Primary School was lying locked for the last over a month.
The local Panchayat members lodged a complaint with the SDM and Tehsildar Mendhar that Govt Primary School Dakka Tanda in Mankote zone was lying locked for the last more than one month. They disclosed that school has a strength of 35 and two teachers are posted there. Over some issue of Mid Day meals with cook a double lock has been put on the doors and the children are suffering. The concerned ZEO has failed to resolve the issue.
The Tehsildar Mohd Rafiq deputed a Girdawar to visit the spot hold inquiry. The Girdawar confirmed the information and after talking to villagers informed administration. The SDM has sought explanation from ZEO Mankote and also directed action against the teachers.
