JAMMU, Jan 18: SDM Chowki Choura Virender Gupta today chaired a meeting of all the line-departments of his Sub Division and took stock of various developmental activities.
During the meeting, the SDM asked Dr Raman Jandyal (Tehsildar Chowki Choura) to strive vigorously towards the targets for retrieval of State/Kahcharai Land. Tehsildar Chowki Choura informed the SDM that 60 per cent of the encroached area stands retrieved.
Rashu Sharma (Block Development Officer) was instructed by the SDM to keep such projects in her Capex Plan which are virtually tangible/beneficial for the poor public of this Sub Division while Ankush Tripathi (CDPO Akhnoor) was directed to ensure proper functioning of all the Anganwari Centres falling under Chowki Choura Sub Division.
To Shanker Manhas (AEE PDD Akhnoor), the SDM asked to ensure minimum power curtailment during office-hours as all the working pattern has now been shifted to Online Mode, so that people could avail maximum benefits of Government services.
The SDM exhorted Angrez Singh (AEE PWD Akhnoor) for immediate restoration of 8 km Ghaar-Sulliyan Road owing to urgent demand of the area while he directed Kulbushan Sharma (Branch Manager, JK Bank) to take immediate requisite measures towards the publicity of recently installed ATM at Chowki Choura so that commuters of Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch could avail the facility of the ATM.
Incharge Police Post Chowki Choura Pankaj Katoch was asked to be extra vigilant during these festive days of Amrit Mahotsav whereas the Horticulture Development Officer Akhnoor was asked to make the farmers aware about the coming spring season to increase the production of good quality fruits here.
The representative of ZEO Chowki Choura was instructed to inculcate new innovative ways and means of teaching in schools.
After the meeting, the SDM accompanied by Revenue team proceeded for Village Bandraal Khurd, where the team retrieved a piece of 47Kanals and 11 Marlas of State land falling under Khasra Numbers 166, 425, 121 and 53 min.
