JAMMU, Mar 18 : The Jammu and Kashmir State SC’s, ST’s & BC’s Development Corporation orgainsed one day awareness, at Christain Colony, Samba.
Ghulam Rasool Khan, Managing Director of the Corporation presided over the function. On the occassion the Managing Director, distributed loans/stipned cheques amounting to Rs 40 lakh to 50 beneficiaries.
Mr Khan highlighted the schemes/programmes of the Corporation and informed that the Corporation is working as State channelizing agency for the six National Level Corporation of the Government of India and working for the upliftment of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Notified National Minorities, Safai Karamcharis and Handicapped categories in the State besides implementing welfare schemes in collaboration with Banks.
A large number of people participated in the awareness programme. The Managing Director suggested the public to avail maximum benefits of the schemes of the Corporation and establish the income generating unit to improve their economic conditions.
Besides this Divisional Manger, Jammu Manager Projects Corporation and Assistant Manager, Samba attended the programme.
