KATHUA, May 3: State Bank of India (SBI) concluded its three days financial literacy/banking awareness camp at Basohli wherein a large section of society participated.
Apart from Basohli, the officials of other SBI Branches in Kathua District also participated and sensitized the visitors during the Mela about financial planning, benefits of various banking services/schemes in general and PM Jan Dhan Yojna Scheme, in particular.
Rohit Mehta, Chief Manager SBI along with Sansar Chand, Financial Counsellor besides faculty members from SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI R-SETI) Kathua apprised the people about opening of deposits accounts with banks and made them aware about management of money, advantages of thrift habits and borrowings from the banks for better and safe future.
Mehta also spoke about the importance of financial inclusion for overall development and urged people to establish relationship with banks.
Ajay Gupta, Regional Manager SBI RBO III supervised the progress of camp.
