JAMMU, Nov 8: To enhance the infrastructural development of Jammu West, MLA Sat Sharma started blacktopping work of a road at Ward number 25 near Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sarwal.
He was accompanied by PWD officials, locals, social and political activists of the area.
The blacktopping work will be done under the supervision of PWD and the cost of the work is estimated at Rs. 25 lakh where a stretch of 300 metres will be covered which also includes internal lanes and by-lanes as well besides the main road.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said that in coming days the pending work of blacktopping roads will also be taken up.
“Apart from this, commissioning and installation of transformers by PDD, commissioning of water pipes laid by ERA and PHE, improvement in sanitation system, benefits of social welfare schemes to common man and other necessities will be focused upon,” he maintained.
State Secretary BJP Praduman Singh, District President BJP Ayodhya Gupta, District General Secretary Sanjeev Sharma and others were also present.
