SAMBA: June 8: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized six vehicles in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba and Ghagwal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO PS Samba, in charges of Police Posts (PP) Supwal and Goran of PS Samba and in charge of Police Post (PS) Rajpura while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas have seized three dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK21C-2988, JK08R-5558, JK21G-0372, a tractor trolley bearing Registration Number, JK21L-9218 and two tractor trolleys without Registration Numbers which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
All the vehicles have been seized by Samba police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department Samba for further legal action.
