SAMBA, Feb 6: Samba police in their drive against illegal mining under the guidance of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, have seized six vehicles which were being used for illegal mining in the district.
Police teams comprising of SHO Police Station Ramgarh, Asha Nand, SHO Police Station, Purmandal, Hardev Singh, in charge Police Post (PP), Supwal, PSI Vikrant Kotwal and IC Police Post, Goran, PSI, Maneesh Sharma under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs, Samba Mohd Usman, SDPO Bari-Brahmana, Rahul Nagar, SDPO, Vijaypur, Priyanka Kumari and Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary have seized six vehicles for illegal mining near Devika river bed Koulpur, Khara Madana, Basanter river bed Phulpur and Goran Khad.
The seized vehicles included a dumper bearing Registration Number JK21G-9566, a tipper bearing Registration Number JK21G-5717, Tractor-Trolley bearing Registration Number, JK21C-0982 and 03 Tractor-Trolley without registration number.
