JAMMU, May 20: Jammu and Kashmir Samajwadi Party has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah alleging politics and mismanagement in relief work in Doda region following earthquake there.
In the memorandum, submitted through Divisional Commissioner, the Samajwadi Party termed the post earthquake scenario in erstwhile Doda as quite gloomy and rued that aerial pleasure trips of some ministers and distribution of relief to certain blue eyed of a particularly political party have added miseries to woes of the affected people who are up in arms against the mismanagement in relief distribution.
The list of victims are being prepared ignoring the really affected people while influential ones and that too with political tags are being incorporated, the memorandum alleged adding that Congressmen were busy in exploiting the situation by converting the relief measures as a party affair and projecting Congress leaders. The real motive of these Congress people is to project the image of their leaders and party as all the relief measures are being handled by Congressmen while the administration has been rendered completely paralyzed, the Samajwadi Party says and suggests that an all party committee needs to be framed in Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar besides similar block level committee in all 20 blocks of the region to prepare the list of genuine sufferers and keep liaison with administration.
