POONCH, Oct 13: Salil Raina will lock horns with Anuj in the men’s singles title clash in the ongoing 28th District Open Table Tennis Championship, here tomorrow.
Earlier, Anuj beat Baljeet 11-9,11-9 to win Junior singles title while in Sub Junior final, Ridhik drubbed Zaffer 11-7,11-5.
In Men’s second and third round, Baljeet beat Zafeer 11-8,11-7, Ridik beat Gurjot 11-9,11-7, Vishab beat Ansh 11-5,11-6, Gagan beat Propkar 11-9,11-3, Pratham outplayed Vanshik. Anuj beat Zaffer 11-9,11-6. Ansh beat Gurjot 11-5,11-9. Pratham trounced Sandeep 11-9,9-11,12-10, Salil Raina beat Gagan 11-9,11-7.
In first semifinal, Salil Raina prevailed over Vishab Kapoor 11-9,8-11,12-10 while in second semifinal Anuj beat Pratham 11-9,11-9. The concluding function will be held tomorrow in which DDC Ponch Rahul Yadav will be Chief Guest while SSP Poonch Rajiv Pandey is guest of honour, said Er Saleem Bandey, General Secretary of the Table Tennis Association Poonch.
