REASI, Aug 23: Salal Power Station of NHPC Limited organized a blood donation camp at Zorawar Hospital, Jyotipuram today, which was inaugurated by Vinita Shekhar and Himanshu Shekhar, General Manager, Salal Power Station by cutting the ribbon and lighting the holy lamp in the presence of M G Ghai, Chief Engineer (Civil), Ajay Shrivas, Chief Engineer (Electrical), Navdeep Singh Heera, Commandent CISF, other senior officers, employees, CISF personnel and ladies from NHPC Family.
NHPC doctors associated the Para Medical team of Blood Bank, District Hospital, Udhampur during the camp. Speaking on the occasion Himanshu Shekhar said that Salal Power Station has organised blood donation camp wherein CISF Unit of the Power Station is also participating. He appealed all present to donate blood as blood donation is harmless and costs nothing to the donor but it helps in saving a precious life.
He further said that blood donation is the most significant contribution that a person can make towards the humanity. So, Salal Power Station shall continue to organise such camps in future also.
46 donors including NHPC employees, their family members, CISF Personnel and KV, Jyotipuram staff donated blood during the camp.
