AKHNOOR, June 23: The famous Kharah Kesri Dangal title of Indian Style Wrestling was lifted by Wrestler Sadiq of Domains Akhara defeating his rival in an easy contest amid thousands of wrestling lovers at Kharah, here today.
Suram Chand Sharma, KAS Officer was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sharma lauded the efforts of the organizing committee in holding mega Wrestling Championship in a befitting manner.
He appealed the youth to be away from drugs and such other evils and asked them to not to derail from the mainstream.
The organizing committee members included Janak Raj, Chuni Lal Raina, Milkhi Ram, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Dina Nath, Capt. Romesh, Prithvi Ram, Chhotu Ram, Suram Lohar, Banarasi Dass, Rattan Lal, Master Des Raj, Mansa Ram, Faqir Chand, Tej Ram Girdawar, Gushan Ram and Tilak Raj.
